Three tools pay us. Five do not. Here is the list.
Mangools, SE Ranking and Keyword Insights pay Querywell a share if a link here becomes a subscription. Ahrefs, Moz, Ubersuggest and Google pay nothing, Semrush pays nothing yet, and several of them are recommended above the three that do.
Which links pay
Three of the tools covered on this site run affiliate programmes Querywell has joined or can join, and a link to one of them is marked sponsored and routed through an address beginning /go/.
Every outbound partner link on this site and what it earns, as of 24 September 2026
| Tool | Link type | What it earns this site |
|---|---|---|
| Mangools KWFinder | Sponsored, via /go/ | A share of a subscription, if one follows |
| SE Ranking | Sponsored, via /go/ | A share of a subscription, if one follows |
| Keyword Insights | Sponsored, via /go/ | A share of a subscription, if one follows |
| Semrush | Sponsored, via /go/ | Nothing — the programme requires 1,000 visitors a month and this site does not have them |
| Ahrefs | Plain link, no /go/ | Nothing — Ahrefs has run no affiliate programme since 2019 |
| Moz | No link at all | Nothing — its programme terms could not be verified |

The Semrush link is honest about earning nothing
Semrush's affiliate programme sets a minimum of a thousand visitors a month before a site can join. Querywell does not meet it, so the Semrush link currently forwards to Semrush and earns exactly zero.
It is written that way on purpose: every page that names Semrush reads correctly with that commission at zero, and if the site ever qualifies, nothing about the recommendation changes except the plumbing. This paragraph will change first.
Why two tools are named but never linked
Moz's affiliate terms could not be verified from its own pages, and Ubersuggest keeps its programme terms behind a password. This site will not send a reader through a link whose rules it has not read, so both tools are discussed on their merits, priced from their own pages, and linked nowhere.
That is a permanent position, not a placeholder. If either publishes readable terms, this page changes before any link appears.
Rules this site works under
- No discount codes, promo boxes or "exclusive deal" language anywhere. Several of these programmes forbid it outright, and where a vendor publishes a real saving for annual billing, it is quoted as the vendor's own price with the date.
- No bidding on vendor brand names in paid search. This site runs no advertising at all.
- No self-referral: nobody here subscribes through these links.
- The price you pay is the vendor's list price. A commission is paid by the vendor out of its own margin.
- A payout never decides an order. Ahrefs, which pays nothing, is recommended for monthly billing on the comparison page, and the free Google tools, which pay nothing either, are recommended ahead of everything else for anyone starting out.
What a commission does not buy
No vendor sees a page before it is published, approves wording, or has any right of reply beyond correcting a fact. The tools that pay this site are described with their limits attached — Mangools Basic allows no extra seats, SE Ranking bundles a whole platform you may not want, Keyword Insights has no free tier at all — and those sentences stay whether or not a commission ever arrives.
If you would rather this site earned nothing from your visit, type the vendor's address into your browser. Nothing here is gated, and the same information is on the page either way.
